My first time at Volvo of Charlottesville. My advisor Tom was wonderful and listened to my car concerns! The waiting area was lovely and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. Tom communicated with me via text throughout. I really liked the video that service sent me of my car inspection. I did not feel like I was being sold anything I didn’t need. They took care of every small detail and even washed and cleaned my car. I will be returning for service and to buy my next car.
I bought a new Volvo plug in hybrid in 2021 (from the dealership in Richmond because the one in Charlottesville had no cars to sell but told me to go to Richmond and they would service the car in Charlottesville). This car had a series of serious problems and was in the dealership for service sometimes for long periods of time. This spring I finally had had enough after the battery (the plug in hybrid battery) had a “module” that went bad and needed to be replaced. My service person was excellent. I left my car for a week as I was traveling and had some difficulty with a repeat replacement of a part that had already been repaired. A substitute service person missed it, but my regular service manager sorted it out. I am very pleased with the work done and would have rated higher but the price limited that. They are always a 5 on customer service.
Hats off to 'my' team at Volvo of Charlottesville! Linda, Tom, Brian and Dave have surpassed my expectations in taking care of my 2015 V60. From regular maintenance to a tricky check engine light issue or a strange clunck in the front end, they have handled it all with courtesy, dedication, knowledge and professionalism. Courtesy was great the labor price was too high I compared the price at Richmond Volvo to Charlottesville. I was quote a price for repair of Sunroof it was 1000.00 over the price …. Your service was excellent … You assisted when my car broke down immediately Thank you

I’ve known this great dealership for many years. Family owns a Volvo purchased from them many years ago, it’s still a beautiful car to see and drive, and it’s only been maintained at this dealership so I’m familiar with their skill, professionalism, trustworthiness and cheerful customer service. And when I recently purchased my used lovely Subaru Forestet from them, it was like dealing with a friend. They are just terrific.
Easy to work with. Emmett did a good job. No hassles. Even the tack-on service pitch was not too much pressure. That’s a compliment. I look forward to working with CMA Volvo in the years ahead with my cx-60.

I purchased a C40 EV from Volvo of Charlottesville and could not be happier either the car or the experience. Emmett Mateer knew the vehicle in-depth, was able to answer all of my questions and ably facilitated the purchase. From top-to-bottom this dealership is first-rate and Volvos are wonderful cars; we’ve owned several, including an XC-60 plugin hybrid that my wife absolutely loves.

Just had a great service appointment for my 2025 XC60. Tom replaced my wipers for free, as he felt they shouldn't have failed so quickly. From start to finish the experience was pleasurable. While waiting the service area is well equipped to make the visit worthwhile.

Went in for a front suspension assessment on a 20 + yr old v70. Met w main tech Dave, who did a test drive, then we both went out to discuss his observations and my concerns. Excellent encounter and exchange! He did an alignment , then we took it out again to discuss his findings..all on a busy morning in the shop. Everything I could have wanted! Thanks Dave

I had a great experience with the service at the Volvo dealership! We needed a bunch of different things done to our 2006 XC70 and they were able to help us with everything. All their prices were pretty fair and the car was ready in a very timely manner. Customer service was great and everyone I talked to was very nice, helpful, and able to explain everything to us.
Stellar customer service from start to finish, particularly from Tom and Chris. Was visiting from out of town when warning lights and “needs service” lights came on, was taken in and serviced promptly and thoroughly with clear explanation. All service was courteous, efficient, and helpful, and they returned the car washed as well. Highly recommend! Would consider buying here in future even though from out of town.
Had a key fob programmed here, cost was $330. Tom was professional and helpful, the keep the place clean and busy! They provided a complimentary cleaning and walk-around inspection of the car, not sure if that's a regular service but it was great.
I took a vehicle in for a state inspection. The technician Chris F. was awesome! Every interaction was great with all the staff! The owner Liza was very friendly & came out and introduced herself. During the conversation I mentioned that Stony Point Market is an awesome place and has live music every Friday night. She must have mentioned it to her family because I saw Carter and Ann Myers there the following Friday! Very nice family and friendly people!

It was easy to make a service appointment with CMA Volvo of Charlottesville; all I needed was a State Inspection. The dealer sent me several helpful reminders before my appointment, were ready for me when I arrived, they kept me informed as the inspection progressed and sent a video after the inspection. The service manager Tom texted me when my car was ready. My car had also received a courtesy wash. I feel that CMA is a dealer you can trust.
Charles did an excellent job with a quality video review of the condition of the vehicle suspension, brakes, and key engine components. This was very informative and transparent. A loaner vehicle was provided which was very useful. Very satisfied with the quality of service and professionalism. Only complaint is that cost of this basic routine maintenance seems excessive.
Took my recently purchased Volvo XC 90 in for a vibration and overall check out. My service advisor was Tom Lincoln he was courteous and very professional I explained what was going on with my car and he kept me up to date with everything they found. Buying a new Volvo at CMA was by far the best shopping and purchase experience in my 50 years. The result was obtaining the ideal vehicle for our needs, all done in a professional, pleasant way.
I brought my 2012 Volvo in for annual service and state inspection. They did an excellent job as usual, diagnosing the need for a new battery, which I had suspected, since the light kept coming on and off. They informed me of the need to rotate and balance the tires, which they did. I had not even mentioned the new, long, deep scratch across half the length of the car, due to an encounter with my mailbox, during the ice storm. I think the technicians at Volvo of Charlottesville are highly trained and well equipped to service Volvo automobiles.
We had a software update issue that crashed the system. Todd, was awesome; getting a tow truck sent, supplying us with a loaner vehicle, keeping us informed with where they were in the diagnostic process and reloading the software. After everything was up and running, a service tech took the car for the evening to verify proper operation. When all was verified we receive a detailed video by email with a complete explanation of what all took place. We can't say enough about the service and people at Charlottesville Volvo.

My car was leaking and they took it in right before the storm and kept it in the garage over the weekend until they could work on it.
